LIV Golf CEO says league has billions in net operating losses

O'Neil made the comments in an interview with Sportico on Thursday. He listed the tax benefits among several reasons for backing the league, including its global reach and the value of its teams and players.
Remaining schedule Four events remain on the 2026 calendar, beginning with LIV Golf U.K. from July 23-26. Three additional events are scheduled in the United States, including one at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in August. Some players have begun the process of returning to the PGA Tour while others remain with LIV Golf.
O'Neil cited business development opportunities and the value of franchise partners as additional reasons for investment.
