It shows a man addressing Mirren by name, referencing her past statements about Israel, and calling her an "evil Zionist b" before directing similar language at Hackford.

A Met spokesperson said officers are reviewing the footage and attempting to contact Mirren and Hackford to determine whether they wish to report the incident formally. The statement noted that the Met has made more than 90 hate crime arrests since the end of March and encouraged victims of such incidents to report them by calling 101 or submitting an online report.

Background Mirren is not Jewish.

Reform UK MP Robert Jenrick told LBC he was "disgusted" by the footage and said antisemitism remains widespread.
