"I didn’t anticipate some of the bureaucratic barriers that I would experience, but I am prepared to take those on now," Bass said. She added that the recent decline marked the first time the city had recorded any decrease.
Recent polling shows Bass with 30 percent support among likely voters. Former reality star Spencer Pratt is challenging Bass in the race and has criticized city officials over their response to homelessness and other issues. Pratt entered the race after his home burned in the Palisades Fire.
