Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Spencer Pratt Names Jesus Christ as Political Role Model
Spencer Pratt, a candidate for Los Angeles mayor and former reality television personality, said Jesus Christ is his political role model in a Thursday interview. He also compared himself to former President Obama and stated plans to study law online.
Washington ExaminerLos Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt said his political role model is Jesus Christ during an interview with CNN’s Elex Michaelson on Thursday. ” Michaelson said. ” Michaelson pressed Pratt on modern politicians he may similarly follow.
Pratt continued, “I am most similar to Obama.
But as the lady on The View said, I don’t have a law degree. So I’m going to work on that online before November. I probably can get one. I’ll do the baby bar,” Pratt said. The View criticized Pratt last week for not having experience as a politician, and co-host Sunny Hostin brought up not having a law degree and making the Obama comparison.
“You don’t have a law degree from Harvard Law School,” Hostin said. “You don’t — you were not a senator. ” Pratt faces current city Mayor Karen Bass and council member Nithya Raman, who are Democrats.
Because Los Angeles uses a nonpartisan election system for city offices, all the candidates will appear on one ballot and party affiliation will not be shown. Pratt even posted a photo of himself with an example ballot, which showed his name at the top. The primary election will be held on June 2.
