nypost.comWellington, Florida is seeing new luxury real estate projects that include residential communities and retail centers. The village, located 40 minutes inland from Palm Beach beaches, has long attracted equestrian enthusiasts and high-income residents.
The area has a median income of $110,294 and has recorded nearly 118 percent real estate appreciation over the past decade. Recent rentals have reached $330,000 for six months on equestrian estates.
Woods, Justin Timberlake and an equestrian investor have formed a partnership to build a 400-acre luxury residential club community called The Wellington. The project will include 253 homes, a hotel, shops and restaurants. The Wellington Club and first homes are scheduled for completion at the end of 2028, with remaining residences finished in later years.
The development is planned on a site that will also feature equestrian villas and condominiums.
Ross is developing Village Landing, a 71-acre walkable village center between US 441 and Stribling Way. The project will contain approximately 220,000 square feet of retail, more than 100,000 square feet of restaurants, a 180-room hotel and 90,000 square feet of office space.
The firm expects the center to open in fall 2028 at a cost exceeding $400 million. Officials said the project will serve both higher-income and moderate-income residents. A new K-12 private school for 1,700 students is also planned just west of the village center.
The mayor stated that Wellington's growth stems from decades of planning focused on quality of life, schools, green space and equestrian facilities.
