Macron Co-Hosts Africa Forward Summit in Kenya

A strategic partnership between the Kenya Development Corporation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes digital diplomacy as a tool for youth empowerment and job creation. Officials said Kenya is leveraging technology and innovation to build international partnerships while generating opportunities for young entrepreneurs.

The corporation has committed resources to help young people scale digital ideas and compete globally. A side event at the summit, expected to draw hundreds of young innovators, will feature demonstrations of digital products aimed at attracting investment and strategic partnerships.

The gathering is viewed as part of France's renewed strategy to build long-term business and innovation ties across Africa. French officials have vowed to move away from past approaches that relied on political collusion and exclusive business access in former colonies.

Anti-French sentiment remains high in some former French colonies as the continent sees growing influence from Russia and China.
