Madonna Album Tops U.S. iTunes Chart With Two Versions at Nos. 1 and 2

Multiple versions of Confessions II reached the top two positions on the U.S. iTunes Top Albums chart on July 3. The standard edition opened at No. 1, while Confessions II: Icon Edition, which includes one additional track, debuted at No. 2. The album is the performer's first traditional studio release since Madame X in 2019. Several singles from the project had been issued earlier in 2026.

The iTunes Top Albums chart ranks paid downloads across all genres and lengths. Confessions II was the only major new release to enter the top 10 on the day of its launch. Three additional versions of the performer's catalog also appeared on the same chart.

Confessions on a Dance Floor: 20 Years Edition returned at No. 42, The Immaculate Collection reached No. 115, and the 1983 self-titled debut album placed at No. 170.

Four tracks from Confessions II appeared on the iTunes Top Songs chart. "Love Sensation" entered at No. 4, "Bring Your Love" reached No. 5, and "I Feel So Free" landed at No. 6. A new track titled "Danceteria" debuted at No. 141.
