Maine Senate Candidate Platner Linked to 2012 Reddit Comment Mocking Suicide Attempt

A May 2012 Reddit thread showed a teenage girl hanging from an upper-story window while a young man gripped her arms. The post’s caption stated that the girl at the high school tried jumping because her cousin died the day before and that the students saved her.

U.S. Senate from Maine, used the Reddit screen name P-Hustle. New York Post reported that the account belonged to Platner. In 2021, the same account posted “Thank you for your cervix” in response to a comment about thanking adult entertainers like veterans.

Platner maintained a Kik account that featured a half-naked photo of himself. In 2017, Platner posted on Reddit that he still had to masturbate every time he sat in a porta-potty because the blue water smell conditioned him. In 2014, on the subreddit r/combatfootage, the P-Hustle account commented on a video of Hamas militants that the raid looked well executed and successful.

In 2019, the same account wrote about Purple Heart recipient Pfc. Ted Daniels that the soldier was a “Dumb motherf–ker” who “didn’t deserve to live” and that his “stupidity and fat a– wheezing” should serve as a warning to future infantrymen. Platner has a Totenkopf SS tattoo.

He stated he only learned the significance of the tattoo in October 2025. U.S. was the evil bad guy overseas.

Fifield also alleged that Platner grabbed her hard enough to leave marks and once twisted her arm behind her back. Maine State House Minority Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham stated that Platner is clearly a person with deep and disturbing psychological issues that predate his military service and continue to this day. Platner has previously denied the Fifield allegations.
