Conservationists in Malaysia's Penang state are installing canopy bridges to help endangered dusky langurs cross roads and reach more habitat. The structures connect forest patches separated by roads, allowing the primates to move without descending to the ground. Citizen volunteers are collecting data on langur movements and bridge use as part of the monitoring program.
The work is part of a reporting project between AFP and local partners.
