Malaysia's state energy firm Petronas has assured the economy ministry that the country's fuel supply will last through the end of July. Economy Minister Akmal Nasir stated at a Monday briefing that power reserves are sufficient to meet the current rise in electricity demand.

"Petronas has given its assurance that the country's oil supply stock is sufficient until the end of July 2026," Nasir said.

Petronas had previously projected adequate supply through June.
