An unidentified man was arrested by the Secret Service at a security checkpoint at Trump Doral National Golf Club in Florida after he set off magnetometers at an entry screening area, caused a chaotic scene, defied orders, and got physical with a Secret Service agent.

Cole Allen, a 31-year-old teacher from California, is charged with attempting to assassinate the president, transporting weapons across state lines with intent to commit a felony, and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.

If convicted, Cole Allen faces up to life in prison. Court papers do not explicitly accuse the suspect of shooting the officer at the Trump press dinner.
