Manchester Airport Group reported passenger numbers rose 1.9% to 66.3 million in the year to March 31, down from 6% growth the previous year. Manchester Airport recorded the strongest increase at 3.6% to 32.3 million passengers, compared with 8% growth in the prior period. London Stansted grew 0.4% while East Midlands Airport saw a 1.3% decline.
Financial results Pre-tax profit for the group increased 4.5% to £227.4 million as revenues rose 12.8%. The company stated it achieved new passenger records at Manchester and London Stansted despite slower overall growth.
