Manhattan Gold Reports 20 g/t Gold at Undrilled Vanquish Prospect

Manhattan Gold Corporation reported gold assays reaching 20 grams per tonne from channel and grab samples collected at the Vanquish prospect in Nunavut, Canada. The samples returned 18.55 g/t gold over 0.3 metres and 15.45 g/t gold over 0.4 metres. Mineralization was traced along at least 131 metres of strike, extending a zone previously identified by historic trenching that returned 5.75 g/t gold over 1.5 metres.

The company acquired the prospect in April after reviewing historic data that identified the largest gold-arsenic till anomaly within the Kaminak greenstone belt. Reconnaissance sampling occurred during mobilization of drilling equipment to the Jaws target. Vanquish lies 80 kilometres west of the Jaws target and is one of 12 prospects inside the 665-square-kilometre Hook Lake project.

The Rankin-Ennadai greenstone belt also hosts Agnico Eagle's Meliadine gold mine 225 kilometres to the northeast. The company stated the early results at Vanquish are particularly exciting. Current drilling at Jaws targets a historical foreign resource estimate of 3.4 million tonnes grading 2.38 g/t gold.

First assay results from that program are expected in the coming weeks. The company plans to integrate the new gold results with recently acquired magnetic and LiDAR data to refine structural models and prioritize future drill targets at Vanquish.
