Mariners Activate Julio Rodriguez, Defeat Giants 4-3 in 10 Innings
Seattle Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez was activated from the seven-day injured list on July 18 and drove in the winning run during a 4-3, 10-inning victory over the San Francisco Giants. He had missed time since July 3 after suffering a concussion.

The Seattle Mariners activated center fielder Julio Rodriguez from the seven-day injured list on July 18 and inserted him as the designated hitter batting second against the San Francisco Giants. Rodriguez went 0-for-4 but delivered a sacrifice fly to left field in the 10th inning that scored Victor Robles with the decisive run in a 4-3 victory.
The team had designated utilityman Miles Mastrobuoni for assignment earlier that day to clear roster space.
Rodriguez had been placed on the injured list on July 3 after he was struck in the back of the head by a ball during a 1-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels on July 2. He participated in pregame drills, ran the bases and took swings off a pitching machine on July 17, general manager Justin Hollander said. Rodriguez played in a career-high 160 games during the 2025 season.
259 with 15 doubles, 14 home runs, 40 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. All-Star utilityman Brendan Donovan began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on July 17. Donovan had been placed on the 10-day injured list in May with a left groin muscle strain and went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and a walk in a game for the Mariners' Arizona Complex League team on July 15.
