Marketing firm ties quarterly salary increases to measurable AI business impact
A marketing automation company introduced quarterly salary increases for employees who demonstrate measurable business results from AI use. For the first quarter of the program, just over half of its 246 employees qualified for raises between 2% and 4%.
pandaily.comA Lithuania-based marketing automation firm began offering quarterly salary increases to employees who use AI tools to produce measurable business outcomes. The program supplements the company's existing quarterly review process. Leadership introduced the initiative after earlier efforts, including games, videos, and monthly "AI days," produced activity but limited measurable results.
Officials said the new approach requires employees to show value in efficiency, impact, or scalable adoption.
First-quarter results In the first quarter, 50% or more of the company's 246 employees qualified and received raises ranging from 2% to 4%. The finance team automated up to 85% of invoice processing, exceeding an initial 36% target, and all participating members received the increase.
Members of the legal team earned raises after using AI for vendor assessment and legal intelligence workflows that reduced manual review time. Several engineers also qualified by developing AI workflows adopted across teams.
Evaluation process Managers conduct reviews for their direct reports and determine both eligibility and raise percentages. AI performance is assessed separately from the standard salary review and does not replace it. Officials described the program as difficult to apply evenly across roles, noting that product managers required an "objective subjective measurement" because their workflows vary.
The company has not publicly identified recipients but allows managers to discuss results within teams.
