Marlins Beat Rockies 14-3 to Finish June With Franchise-Record 20 Wins

The Miami Marlins defeated the Colorado Rockies 14-3 on June 30 to finish the month with a franchise-record 20 wins. ESPN reported that the Marlins outscored opponents 133-80 during June, their best calendar month in franchise history, and became the first MLB team to reach 20 wins in a month in 2026. Javier Sanoja hit a three-run homer measuring 419 feet to left-center field in the third inning.

Owen Caissie added a three-run homer of 453 feet in the eighth, his 10th of the season, while Joe Mack hit a two-run homer in the seventh, his fifth career home run. Griffin Conine drove in the game's first run with an RBI double in the first inning, and Leo Jiménez added an RBI single in the second.

The Marlins scored three runs in the sixth on RBI singles by Kyle Stowers, Griffin Conine and Xavier Edwards.

Stowers later hit a two-run double in the ninth. Conine finished 4-for-5, recording the first four-hit game of his career, and the trio of Conine, Stowers and Edwards combined for 11 hits and five RBIs. Eury Pérez allowed one run on two hits over 5⅓ innings and struck out eight to improve to 4-6.

Tanner Gordon, making his first start since May 31 after a hip injury, gave up five runs on nine hits in five innings and fell to 0-2. The Marlins set season highs in runs and hits while out-hitting the Rockies 21-5. The win improved Miami's record to 46-40 and left the team tied with the St.

Louis Cardinals for the third National League wild-card spot. "Winning 20 games a month is a hard thing to do, and so [it's a] great way to finish out the month," Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said. " "Calendar is going to change, and it's nothing different," catcher Joe Mack said.
