Martha Stewart Shares Six-Ingredient Potato Salad Recipe
Martha Stewart posted a video of a simple potato salad recipe using potatoes, onion, vinegar, mayonnaise, salt, and sugar. Some social media users called the dish bland while others said they planned to try it.
nypost.comMartha Stewart posted a video on Instagram on April 3 showing preparation of a potato salad she described as the best version of the dish. The recipe uses six ingredients: potatoes, one medium white onion, one-half cup of white vinegar, one cup of Hellmann’s mayonnaise, one-half teaspoon of salt, and one teaspoon of sugar.
Stewart mixed the onion with the vinegar, salt, and sugar, poured the mixture over the potatoes, and let it sit for about ten minutes before adding the mayonnaise.
She said the liquid is absorbed into the potatoes and then instructed viewers to mix the mayonnaise through the potatoes. In the video, Stewart gave a taste to her mother, Martha Ruszkowski, who said the salad was very good. Stewart identified the finished dish as deli-style potato salad and said it reminded her of time spent in Jersey City.
One commenter wrote they were too Southern for the potatoes, while another said the salad looked horrible. Other users said they planned to make the recipe and called it wonderful or very good. Fox News Digital reached out to Stewart for comment. The post is a resurfaced older clip.
Stewart has previously commented on food topics, including stating last summer that she loves hot dogs with the works and noting late last year that she eats bagels open-faced with cream cheese.
