Marvin Harrison Jr. Says 2025 Injuries Won't Affect 2026 Season
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. said Tuesday he remains in recovery from appendicitis, two heel injuries and a concussion that caused him to miss five games last season.
ESPNArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. said Tuesday he is still recovering from appendicitis, two heel injuries and a concussion that shortened his 2025 season. Speaking publicly for the first time since the end of last season at the team's Tempe, Arizona facility, Harrison said he is trying to reach full health.
"I guess it's an ongoing process still," he said. Harrison said he does not expect the injuries to affect his play in 2026. "I don't think it's going to linger into next season, for sure," he said. He added that foot injuries require extra time because players use their feet constantly.
"The thing with your feet, you use them all the time. That makes the process take probably a little longer than maybe usually," Harrison said. Harrison said the injuries do not currently limit his activity.
"It's definitely nothing that prevents me from anything at the moment. The third-year receiver left a Week 6 game at the Indianapolis Colts with a concussion.
After a Week 10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks he was hospitalized with appendicitis and missed the next two games. He returned in Week 13, suffered a heel injury and missed the following two games. Harrison came back in Week 16, then injured his other heel in Week 17 at the Cincinnati Bengals and missed the season finale at the Los Angeles Rams.
Harrison said injuries are part of the sport and the only option is to move forward.
