The Dallas Mavericks retained restricted free agent Moussa Cisse by matching the New York Knicks' two-year, $4.7 million offer sheet before the Monday deadline. The contract pays Cisse a half-guaranteed salary in the first year, with the 2027-28 season non-guaranteed. The 6-foot-11 center turns 24 in September.
Cisse went undrafted out of Memphis last summer and signed a two-way contract with Dallas before the season began. The Mavericks extended him a qualifying offer earlier this offseason, which made him a restricted free agent.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in just under 14 minutes per game.
The move allows Dallas to retain frontcourt depth it developed over the past year.
