Conor McGregor told Alex Pereira to let go of his criticism of referee Herb Dean during a backstage meeting at the UFC 329 ceremonial weigh-ins. com reported that McGregor said to Pereira, “You’re doing great brother, keep going,” and added, “Unlucky last time, back of the head, I see it.
” The exchange occurred after Pereira was knocked out by Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC Freedom 250 at the White House.
Pereira had moved up to heavyweight in an attempt to win a third world title. Some shots landed at the end of the fight appeared to be to the back of the head. Pereira has reposted messages calling for Dean’s job in recent weeks.
