Mediators Seek to Revive U.S.-Iran Nuclear Talks After Airstrikes

Qatar, Pakistan and other regional mediators conducted multiple phone calls on Wednesday with U.S. and Iranian officials to de-escalate tensions and revive nuclear deal negotiations, Axios reported. -Iran memorandum of understanding and the ceasefire were over and ordered two rounds of airstrikes.

He remains focused on reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Pakistani military commander Field Marshal Asim Munir that the U.S. attacks and rhetoric violated the MOU, according to a statement on Araghchi's Telegram channel.

The same source said mediators believe recent Iranian attacks in the Strait of Hormuz were initiated by elements inside the Iranian regime that oppose the MOU. A U.S. official said President Trump made his feelings clear the previous day in no uncertain terms, adding that Iran's attacks on vessels are acts of terrorism and that the MOU is performance-based.
