Over the full weekend the site logged 36,724 visits.
Several teenagers died after entering open water in recent days. Cheshire Police recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy from Pickmere Lake at Marston, Northwich on Wednesday. Hampshire Constabulary confirmed a body was found during a search for a teenage boy last seen swimming at Hawley Lake near Blackwater.
Additional fatalities were reported in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Devon, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Lincolnshire and Lancashire. Chief inspector Jamie Lewis of Cheshire Police said residents should be aware of hidden currents and unseen hazards when entering open water.
The RNLI warned that low water temperatures during the current heatwave increase the risk of cold-water shock.
