Meta is piloting an AI storytelling app called StoryKit in select countries. TechCrunch reported that the application generates children's stories with custom characters, settings, lessons, and music. The project was first identified in the App Store by 9to5Mac.
Meta confirmed the limited rollout to assess how parents respond to the tool. Users aged 18 and older can access StoryKit. The app requires a photo of a toy or person to define the main character. Users then describe the story world and choose a lesson such as kindness, courage, or empathy.
Meta stated that the app includes AI safety filters and contains no social features. The pilot remains restricted to certain regions while the company evaluates the product.
