nypost.comA man living in Carlsbad, New Mexico, under the name Jon Green was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, on June 13, 2022, and charged with forgery and larceny. Police said he had forged checks from his wife's account and stolen her vehicle along with three trained search-and-rescue dogs.
The same individual had been linked to a 1996 fire in Monaco that killed a billionaire and his nurse. He was known by a different name at that time.
While detained in Eddy County Detention Center, Green discussed plans to kill his estranged wife with another inmate, according to that inmate's account. The inmate said Green wanted the death to appear as a fentanyl overdose. Green denies the allegations and has contested the charges.
