Abdul El-Sayed, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan, said AIPAC plans to spend at least $3,847,990 against him next week. He called the donations "legalized bribery" and said Rep. Haley Stevens is more committed to the future of a foreign country than to keeping U.S.
Tax dollars for schools and healthcare. El-Sayed made the statements on X less than a month before the August 4 primary. He also said on Tuesday that U.S. foreign policy has been handed to the state of Israel and AIPAC.
She is a member of the House endorsed by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. El-Sayed filed candidate disclosures in June 2025 that listed a $278,900 salary from Wayne County.
The filings showed a net worth between $580,000 and $1.7 million, with his wife holding up to $15,000 in real estate in India.
