U.S. Senate in Michigan, said the Democratic Party has an antisemitism problem during a Senate primary debate on Thursday. "There is," McMorrow answered when asked whether an antisemitism problem exists in the party. "At the Democratic convention, an attendee yelled an antisemitic slur at my husband, who is Jewish and was walking with my 5-year-old daughter.

That is terrifying," she said. McMorrow, currently a member of the Michigan Senate, made the remarks amid a three-way primary contest.

McMorrow said she would have supported a resolution proposed by Sen. S. arms to Israel. She also said the violence in Gaza needs to end. "We need to bring about long-term peace and security for Palestinians and Israelis," McMorrow said.
