The statement rules out the possibility of a Windows 12 announcement at the Build developer conference scheduled for next week.
The Windows account on X posted a separate message promising a new era of PC and included coordinates for Taipei, the site of Computex. Nvidia posted a similar message on May 23, 2026, also referencing Taipei. Nvidia is scheduled to hold a Computex keynote on May 31, 2026. Microsoft is scheduled to hold its Build keynote on June 2, 2026.
