Mike Perry Defeats Nate Diaz by TKO in Two-Round Welterweight Fight

Mike Perry defeated Nate Diaz by technical knockout in the second round of a welterweight bout Saturday night at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The fight took place on the undercard of Ronda Rousey's 17-second victory over Gina Carano. Perry, who entered with a record of 15-8, landed consistent strikes throughout the two rounds and opened cuts on Diaz's face and chest.

Diaz, 41, had not competed in mixed martial arts since 2022.

A flying knee from Perry at the second-round bell sent Diaz to the canvas. Referee Mike Beltran stopped the contest shortly afterward after consulting with Diaz's corner. Perry said Diaz showed no quit despite the punishment. Diaz stated that blood in his eye impaired his vision but accepted the stoppage.

Ngannou stopped Philipe Lins with a left hand in the first round of his second MMA fight in four years. Ngannou then discussed a potential boxing match with Jake Paul or an MMA bout with Jon Jones, who attended the event. Junior Dos Santos was knocked out by Robelis Despaigne in the first round of the main card. U.S. debut by first-round stoppage against Kenneth Cross.
