A flying knee from Perry at the second-round bell sent Diaz to the canvas. Referee Mike Beltran stopped the contest shortly afterward after consulting with Diaz's corner. Perry said Diaz showed no quit despite the punishment. Diaz stated that blood in his eye impaired his vision but accepted the stoppage.
Ngannou stopped Philipe Lins with a left hand in the first round of his second MMA fight in four years.
