The Milwaukee Brewers placed pitcher Logan Henderson on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a lower back strain. The move is retroactive to Saturday. Henderson, 24, pitched five shutout innings in a 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said after the game that the right-hander's back had been bothering him. "A little low back tightness," Henderson said at the time. 74 ERA in five starts this season.
He has struck out 30 batters and walked six over 23 innings. The Brewers recalled pitcher Coleman Crow from Triple-A Nashville to fill Henderson's roster spot. 89 ERA in seven appearances with Nashville.
