The model will contain between 2 trillion and 3 trillion parameters and will be the largest open-weight AI model from China. The upcoming release is expected to perform at or above the level of Anthropic’s Opus 4.8.
Moonshot’s earlier Kimi K2 models already ranked high on open-source benchmarks and showed capabilities close to frontier closed-source systems.
