More than 20 teams of high school students from across Ontario competed Sunday in the annual Waterloo EV Challenge at the University of Waterloo. Students designed, built and raced single-seat electric vehicles on a course set up on campus. Winners were determined by the distance travelled during the race.
The competition gives students hands-on experience in engineering design and project management. CBC K-W's Diego Pizarro spoke with student competitors and technicians about the work that went into building the cars.
