Morrisons closed 52 cafes and 17 convenience stores last year. Last month the company said roughly 200 jobs were at risk at its Bradford headquarters. Hundreds of additional positions are expected to be affected by the latest round of store closures. A Morrisons spokesperson said the company will seek alternative roles for staff where possible.
The chain operates around 1,700 Morrisons Daily stores and opened more than 120 franchise locations last year.
