Muhammad remained the most popular boys' name in England in 2025, marking the third consecutive year the name led national records. Officials counted 6,000 registrations of the name, about 2,000 more than the second-place name, Noah. Two spelling variants also ranked in the top 100: Mohammed at position 20 and Mohammad at position 55, together accounting for an additional 2,600 registrations.
The name has recorded large percentage increases in France, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, and the Netherlands over the past 25 years. In Poland the name did not enter the top 500.
