Gunfire broke out at a campground party near Oklahoma City on Sunday night, wounding at least 13 people who were taken to hospitals. m. Authorities received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at the site, a heavily wooded area that has complicated the search for evidence and suspects.

Edmond police spokesperson Emily Ward said officers responded immediately and were interviewing victims and witnesses across the metropolitan area late Sunday. No arrests had been made as of that time, and suspects remained at large. Ward described the victims as being in various conditions, with 10 transported to Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City and three to Integris Health Edmond Hospital.

A hospital system spokesperson noted that all patients were still being assessed early Monday. Police indicated the number of wounded could rise as some individuals drove themselves to medical facilities. "This is obviously a very terrifying situation and we understand the concern from the public and those involved and we are working extremely hard to find the suspects," Ward said.

The event, advertised on social media as a "Sunday Funday" for young adults, drew a large crowd to the popular recreational spot used for fishing, boating, picnicking, and camping. Arcadia Lake is an artificial reservoir in Edmond, a suburb of about 100,000 residents.

Officials set up a reunification center for families at a local Walmart and planned to continue evidence collection through sunrise Monday.

Police stated there was no ongoing threat to the public. In a separate shooting on Sunday morning, one person was killed and three others injured at a post-prom party in Indianapolis, police said. Authorities provided no further details on suspects or motives.

A Russian missile strike on the town of Merefa in Ukraine's Kharkiv region killed five people and wounded at least 18 others on Monday, officials reported. The attack damaged homes, businesses, and public buildings in an area far from the front lines. Regional prosecutors stated that Russian forces appeared to have used an Iskander-type ballistic missile.
