Murray Describes Princess of Wales as Tennis Fan Who Plays Padel

Retired tennis player Andy Murray said he spent an afternoon with the Princess of Wales at the All England Lawn Tennis Club during this year's Championships. Murray told Hello that the Princess watched British player Katie Swan face Madison Keys with him.
"Yes, it was a fun afternoon," he stated. " Murray added that the Princess also plays padel. He noted they watched the Swan-Keys match together.
She posed for photographs and handed out grounds passes to several attendees. She also spent time with young people from Shine Camera Club. The Princess later joined former British No. 1 Tim Henman and All England Club chair Deborah Jevans at Court 18 before sitting with Murray at Court No. 1.
The Princess serves as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. She is expected to present the trophy to the winner of the women's singles final between Karolína Muchová and Linda Nosková. Last year she presented the trophy to Iga Swiatek after Swiatek defeated Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0. The Princess has attended the Championships since 2011, missing only two events.
