N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO will reach PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2 in 2027. The title retains the series' minimalist stick-figure visuals and precise platforming mechanics while adding local and online co-op, single-player options, and cross-play.
Game modes Five modes are planned.
Trials and Co-op return with updated features, and Racing has been revised to include a bazooka at the finish line. One-up draws from American Ninja Warrior-style challenges. Team Tag pits two teams against each other as Ninjas collecting gold or Hunters attempting captures, with Hunters able to transform into rockets.
Technical details and audio The game uses 256x anti-aliasing and sub-pixel movement tracking. A circular hitbox replaces the square hitbox common in other 2D platformers, altering how characters fall, lean, and navigate edges. The soundtrack features roughly 60 tracks selected from Bandcamp, drawing primarily from UK garage and 2020s electronic styles.
The circle-based collision system originated from a Bungie programmer's description of Halo movement posted on a Usenet forum in the early 2000s, which the developers adapted to 2D line-segment meshes.
