Naismith Hall of Fame to Open First Exhibit Dedicated to an Active NBA Player

Stephen Curry becomes the first active player with a dedicated exhibit when the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame unveils Stephen Curry: Beyond the Arc on Friday in Springfield, Massachusetts. The display includes Olympic and championship artifacts, game-worn gear and archival footage tracing his path from an unheralded prospect to a four-time NBA champion.

Entering his 18th professional season, Curry said the honor is difficult to express.

"Being part of the Basketball Hall of Fame in this way is hard to put into words," he said in a release. He added that he thinks about the people who believed in him and the work done when no one was watching. Hall of Fame president and CEO John Doleva called the exhibit a historic moment.

"Stephen has not only redefined how the game of basketball is played, but he has also set a blueprint for what it means to be an exemplary role model," Doleva said. Curry has stated he wants to play at least two more seasons. He is expected to begin extension talks with the Golden State Warriors once eligible in late August. ESPN reported the details.
