A separate NATO-EU session addressed continued support for Ukraine and collaboration on defence industry and military mobility issues.
At a joint press conference, the committee chair stated that the rate of delivery and fielding of capabilities for deterrence and defence requires a dramatic increase and improvement. The chair called for redoubled efforts to focus defence investments in line with existing pledges and urged the defence industry to accelerate production and adapt business models.
The next scheduled Chiefs of Defence meeting is set for Denmark on 18-19 September 2026.
