Natural Light Launches Contest to Award Solar-Powered Walk-In Beer Cooler

Natural Light unveiled the CoolShed, a shed-sized walk-in beer cooler powered primarily by solar panels on its roof, Usa Today reported. The unit uses solar power to keep Natural Light beer cold. One winner will receive a fully built CoolShed plus a prepaid card with over $15,000 that covers two 24-packs of Natural Light a month for 35 years.

The first 500 fans who enter the contest will receive some beer money. Krystyn Stowe, head of marketing for the Busch and Natural Light family of products at Anheuser-Busch, said the design addresses a common summer issue. "With many summer activities centered around backyard projects, cookouts, and time with friends, we wanted to create a refreshing solution to a relatable seasonal challenge: how to keep ice-cold beer in reach when temperatures rise," Stowe said.

Customers can enter the contest by visiting NaturalLight.com/CoolShed from now until Friday, July 31. The CoolShed features an advanced temperature control system, 250 cubic feet of cooling space, and heavy-duty shelving capable of holding dozens of cases of Natty.
