Two pilots ejected from a Navy training jet on Tuesday before the aircraft crashed on farmland near Shuqualak in east Mississippi. The pilots landed safely and were later taken to a hospital for evaluation, according to Mississippi Today.
The jet belonged to Naval Air Training Command and was operating out of Naval Air Station Meridian. Washington Times reported that both pilots ejected and landed without injury on farmland.
Local authorities responded to the crash site shortly after the incident. No additional injuries or property damage were reported in the initial accounts. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Navy officials.
