Nearly 1,000 Developers Participate in EasyA AI Agent Hackathon at Consensus Miami 2026
Nearly 1,000 developers from Base, Solana, Microsoft and Google built AI agent projects at the EasyA Hackathon inside Consensus Miami 2026 in Miami Beach, Florida. Winners included FlyPraxis for a real-time drone intelligence platform and Dairy Price API x402 for a pay-per-call commodity pricing service using USDC.
CoinDeskNearly 1,000 developers competed at the EasyA Hackathon inside Consensus Miami 2026 in Miami Beach, Florida, building products around the theme of AI agents. Participants came from ecosystems including Base and Solana as well as from Microsoft and Google. The event reflected a shift toward AI-native startups at the intersection of blockchain and artificial intelligence.
The focus on AI agents first emerged earlier in 2026 at the EasyA x Consensus Hong Kong hackathon. ” Coinbase sponsored challenges around x402 while Solana and Solana Mobile pushed teams toward mobile-first applications and consumer experiences. EasyA began as a small event in Austin, Texas, during Consensus 2023.
It has since grown into one of crypto’s most closely watched builder gatherings. ” Dom Kwok added that out of previous EasyA hackathons there has been a $10 billion company. A Harvard team that pitched at a previous EasyA event founded Cognition AI, which the Kwoks say is now valued at roughly $10 billion.
Another former participant, Axal, is building stablecoin yield products backed by bitcoin. EasyA alumni have gone through Y Combinator and processed hundreds of millions in transactions. The Kwoks positioned the Miami event as a launchpad for venture-scale companies rather than simply a short coding competition.
Judges rewarded projects that moved AI agents beyond chatbots into real-world coordination, automation and commerce. In the Kickstart Track with a $50,000 prize, FlyPraxis won first place for a real-time drone intelligence platform for military operators. HIIE placed second for a platform that turns text prompts into buildable hardware products.
Clan World placed third. The Solana Mobile Track offered a $30,000 prize plus $75,000 worth of Solana phones. Parabola won first place for a decentralized prediction and estimation market on Solana. Snakr placed second for an AI-powered food intelligence app while Rhythym placed third for a mobile routine-support app for users with executive dysfunction.
The Coinbase and AWS Track carried a $45,000 prize. Dairy Price API x402 won first place for a pay-per-call commodity pricing service using x402 on Base with USDC payments. AgentPay placed second for a payment coordination system for AI agents using AWS risk validation.
Giggy placed third for a marketplace to hire AI agents with crypto escrow on Base. Chainlens was a runner-up in the Coinbase and AWS Track for an x402-compatible verification layer for AI agents. m.
