Nelly Korda and Sei-Young Kim share the lead after the third round of the U.S. Women's Open at six under par. Korda carded a four-under 67 at Riviera Country Club in California, closing with three straight birdies on the final three holes after one bogey earlier in the round. Kim posted a 68 that included five birdies and two bogeys.

Third-round movement England's Charley Hull produced the low round of the day with a seven-birdie 65 and sits three shots off the lead. First-round leader Jennifer Kupcho and In-Gee Chun each shot 69 and stand one shot behind the leaders. Korda recovered from an opening-round 73 with consecutive 67s and said the approach this week differs from last year.

I think last year I really, really wanted it, and the more you want it sometimes, the more you stiffen up and you get a little bit more nervous.

Nelly Korda, June 2026 (BBC)

"I kind of like chasing," Hull said. " Kupcho said she will focus only on her own play. "I can't control what anyone else is doing, so I'm just going to go out there and do my best and see how that matches up with them," Kupcho said. Korda has one prior major title this season after winning the Chevron Championship in April and is seeking her first U.S. Women's Open title in her 12th attempt.
