Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the US-Israeli war with Iran is not over because nuclear material in the country still needs to be removed. "You go in, and you take it out," Netanyahu said in an interview with CBS' 60 Minutes when asked about Iran's highly enriched uranium.

" Netanyahu declined to elaborate when asked if US or Israeli special forces would enter Iran to remove the nuclear material.

He said President Donald Trump has indicated that he wished to go into Iran. "I think it can be done physically," Netanyahu told CBS. "That's not the problem. " The best way forward would be an agreement with Iran on the nuclear material, Netanyahu said.

His comments on US television echoed a call he made last month for removing enriched nuclear material from Iran with or without an agreement. That earlier statement came after Israel and the US established a ceasefire with Iran on April 8. " Iran said Sunday it submitted a response to the latest US proposal to end the 10-week-long war.

In recent days, US officials including Trump have said that they were waiting for the response before taking any major action. Fortune reported that Netanyahu's latest remarks underscored his position that significant work remains despite the ceasefire more than a month ago. The prime minister has consistently maintained that the nuclear material cannot be left in place.
