The Netflix original reality dating show "Better Late Than Single" is set to return with a second season the week after July 1, 2026, Yonhap reported. The first season aired in 2025 and ranked among the 10 most-watched non-English shows on Netflix during its run.
Producer Kim Noh-eun said at a June 24 press conference that the show's popularity stems from evoking awkward yet precious feelings of first love.
"There're a lot of reality dating shows, so it's an honor we could return with a second season," Kim said. "I think our show is like an old diary. " Co-producer Won Seung-jae said viewers see the show as looking back on their own past rather than someone else's relationship.
Kim noted that the concept of late bloomers resonates across Asian audiences and suggested the format could expand beyond a K-reality show. The second season features dating coaches Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji and Car, the garden, who provide styling tips and advice.
Producers added new events to help participants get to know one another after observing in season one that lifelong singles tend to do nothing to begin relationships.
"Compared with the first season, which focused on the awkward moments of late bloomers beginning to find love, there is definitely progress," Kim said. "They do date.
