NFL Network and Xfinity Remain Without Carriage Deal as Training Camps Open

A carriage dispute between NFL Network and Comcast Xfinity that began May 1 remains unresolved as of July 18. Xfinity customers therefore will have no access to NFL RedZone during Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season. Training camps are scheduled to open in the coming days.
Xfinity subscribers who want to watch NFL Network coverage of those practices will be unable to do so unless the two sides reach an agreement. ESPN now operates NFL Network. The channel’s programming consists primarily of highlights, game rebroadcasts, and morning and evening studio shows.
NBC Sports reported that training-camp coverage on the network is listed to begin Saturday, August 1. Viewers seeking that coverage can turn to ESPN if NFL Network is still unavailable on Xfinity by early August. The dispute will not create widespread inconvenience until Sunday, September 13, the first full Sunday of the regular season, when RedZone programming begins.
NBC Sports reported that each side continues to blame the other over carriage fees. Consumers remain without the channel until a deal is reached.
