The All Progressives Congress formally presented nomination forms for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday in Abuja. The presentation took place at the Continental Hotel and marks the party's official selection of its 2027 presidential ticket.
APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda announced the development on X. He said the ceremony reaffirmed the party's commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general election.
The forms were submitted on behalf of President Tinubu by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari. The event drew APC leaders and stakeholders from across the country. Yilwatda said the gathering reflected unity and shared purpose within the party.
He added that the APC would focus on strengthening grassroots support and building a more prosperous, secure, and inclusive Nigeria.
The formal unveiling ends months of speculation that President Tinubu could replace Vice President Shettima with a Northern Christian. The party has publicly reaffirmed its decision to retain the current ticket.
