Nine Shootings Across Eight States Leave Nine Dead and at Least 60 Wounded

At least nine mass shootings occurred across the United States over the weekend of July 18-20, 2026, leaving nine people dead and at least 60 wounded, ABC News reported. The incidents took place in eight states, with two in Minnesota. They included a parking-lot shooting at a Waffle House in Newark, Delaware; a party at a restaurant in Oklahoma City; an event-center shooting in Minneapolis; and gunfire in a park in Jackson, Tennessee.

A shooting unfolded early Monday in the parking lot of the Ultra Lounge nightclub in southeast Denver. It left one person dead and eight wounded, all of whom were hospitalized in serious but stable condition, the Denver Police Department said. Police Chief Ron Thomas stated the shooting occurred around 1 a.m.

And that evidence indicated at least two weapons were fired. No suspects have been identified. In Oklahoma City, gunfire broke out around 12:31 a.m. Sunday during a party at the Dos Cinco restaurant in the historic Capitol Hill district.

Two people died and three were injured, the Oklahoma City Police Department said. An altercation escalated into the exchange of gunfire. More than 100 people were gathered at Savannah Williams Park in Jackson, Tennessee, when gunfire erupted around 11 p.m.

Sunday. Three people died and nine others were wounded, Madison County Sheriff Julian Wiser said. Two died at the scene and one at a hospital. The sheriff described the incident as appearing gang-related.

Nine people were critically injured around 2 a.m. Sunday in downtown Tucson, Arizona, when a gunman opened fire. Tucson police officers shot the suspect after he refused orders to drop his weapon, and the suspect was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition.
