Nine-year-old daughter of EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy breaks arm in school fall

Natalie Cassidy's nine-year-old daughter Joanie suffered a third broken arm after slipping in a school hallway before a PE lesson, GB News reported. The child was taken to A&E, where staff found her bones in pieces. The latest break came eight weeks after Joanie underwent surgery to remove metal plates inserted following an earlier injury.

Blood tests showed results within normal range, and the consultant attributed the repeated fractures to bad luck. Cassidy, 43, who plays Sonia Fowler on BBC EastEnders, described the event on her podcast Life With Nat. "I felt I was going to have a nervous breakdown, actually," she said.

"I'm being really honest here. I really fell to pieces. " She recalled preparing for a few days at home when the call arrived. "Marc went outside, put the paddling pool up, cut all the grass thinking we're going to have a few days, like a mini holiday, at home," Cassidy stated.

"Then the phone rang. She slipped over in the hall, before doing PE. I'm speechless. " Cassidy praised the hospital staff as "wonderful, wonderful people" and said the family felt as though they were "in a hotel" during the stay.

Joanie is the daughter of Cassidy and Marc Humphreys.
