North Carolina defeated West Virginia 12-7 on June 17 in the College World Series semifinals, eliminating the Mountaineers and advancing to the best-of-three championship series. The Tar Heels will play the winner of the Georgia-Oklahoma semifinal. Georgia needs two wins over Oklahoma after losing 4-3 on June 15. Oklahoma is scheduled to start pitcher Nick Wesloski on June 17.
