Northamptonshire Chase 313 to Defeat Warwickshire in One-Day Cup

Northamptonshire defeated Warwickshire by five wickets at Wantage Road in the One-Day Cup three days after claiming the T20 Blast championship. Warwickshire posted more than 300 runs, led by Sam Hain's 80 and Theo Wylie's 65, before Raphy Weatherall took 4 for 56.

Northamptonshire reached the target of 313 with five wickets and eight deliveries remaining after Ricardo Vasconcelos scored 64 and Nathan McSweeney added a half-century in a 65-run stand.

George Bartlett contributed 72 off 63 balls. Surrey beat Lancashire by seven wickets in Group A. Lancashire scored 280 for 5, with Michael Jones unbeaten on 67, Keaton Jennings on 64 and Marcus Harris on 60.

Dom Sibley made 65 and Ryan Patel 58 for Surrey, after which Adam Thomas remained not out on 82 and Josh Blake hit 59 off 38 balls. Nottinghamshire chased 259 to defeat Somerset by four wickets. Somerset reached 258 for 9, with Tom Lammonby scoring 92 and Savin Perera a half-century, before Joe Pocklington took 3 for 58.

Freddie McCann made 70 and Haseeb Hameed 66 in the reply. Middlesex posted 294 for 8 and beat Essex by 41 runs at Radlett in Group B. Nathan Fernandes scored 112 off 130 balls with 13 fours and two sixes.

Essex were bowled out for 253 despite Noah Thain's 75 and Simon Fernandes' 51, with Luke Hollman taking three wickets. Hampshire scored 320 for 8 and defeated Yorkshire by 50 runs at Scarborough. Jake Lehmann made 75 and Tom Prest 109 before Yorkshire were dismissed for 270, with Will Luxton and George Hill each scoring half-centuries.

Andrew Neal and Ashutosh Sharma took five wickets between them. Durham defeated Derbyshire in Group B with Ben Stokes involved in the win.
